Close the Door
Make sure the door is closed before leaving. Disengage the door stop if you used it.
Responsible Electronics Recycling
We accept a wide range of electronics including computers, laptops, servers, and data-containing devices. All materials are processed using responsible recycling practices aligned with industry and environmental standards.
Secure Data Handling
Data-bearing devices are processed using industry-standard methods, including:
- Logical data wiping
- Physical destruction (shredding of storage media)
Consistent with NIST 800-88 guidelines where applicable.
Certificate of Destruction
A Certificate of Destruction (COD) is available for customers who require verification that data-bearing devices have been processed.
How to Request a COD
Take a business card from the business card holder next to the camera
Take a roll of stickers from the sticker roll holder next to the camera
Place one sticker on the card
Apply one sticker from the roll to each item you need a COD for (up to 10 items per roll)
For additional items, start a new card with a new sticker roll
Discard any unused stickers in the trash can provided
Serial Number Requirement
Each roll of stickers contains a unique serial number used to track your items. Please retain the business card with the applied serial number. It is required to retrieve your Certificate of Destruction. Certificates cannot be retrieved without the associated serial number.
Processing Time
Certificates are issued within up to 60 days and can be retrieved through the website by clicking theCheck Requestlink and entering your saved serial number.
Security and Monitoring
All drop-off locations are monitored 24/7. Secure handling procedures are applied throughout collection and processing to maintain controlled custody of materials.
Compliance Notice
Customers are strongly encouraged to remove sensitive or confidential data prior to drop-off. While industry-standard data destruction methods are used, complete data destruction cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances, including:
- - Damaged or non-functional devices
- - Embedded or non-removable memory
- - Residual data on hardware components
- - Theft (locations are open to the public)
